BONNIE & CLYDE

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Champion Barrow are legends in American criminal history. As the heart of the Barrow Gang, lead by Clyde and Buck Barrow, they committed a string of robberies, car thefts, and murders while repeatedly escaping from the authorities. They finally were ambushed by the authorities on May 23, 1934. In the ensuing gun battle, both Bonnie and Clyde were killed.

BRINK'S ROBBERY

On the evening of January 17, 1950, a group of armed, masked men emerged from 165 Prince Street in Boston, Massachusetts, dragging bags containing $1,218,211.29 in cash and $1,557,183.83 in checks, money orders, and other securities. These men had just committed the "crime of the century," the "perfect crime," the "fabulous Brink's robbery.

The Brink's case was "front page" news. Even before Brink's, Incorporated, offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible, the case had captured the imagination of millions of Americans.
